What to Expect

Your hot air balloon adventure begins roughly two hours before sunrise. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and transported to the balloon company’s office, where you’ll complete registration and enjoy a light breakfast.

While you prepare for the journey, the pilots monitor weather conditions to determine the best take-off site for the day. These locations vary daily to ensure the optimal flight experience based on wind speed and direction.

Once the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority grants clearance, you’ll head to the chosen take-off point. There, you’ll have the chance to observe the final stages of balloon inflation before stepping into the basket to embark on your unforgettable flight.

The balloon tour lasts about 45 minutes, during which your pilot will guide the balloon over the stunning Soğanlı Valleys. As the sun rises, the golden light illuminates the distinctive rock formations, creating a breathtaking spectacle you’ll never forget.

Keep in mind that the flight duration may vary by 5–10 minutes, as the balloon’s direction and landing site are entirely influenced by wind conditions.

At the end of the journey, the pilot will skilfully bring the balloon back to the ground, landing in a location different from where you began. Waiting minivans will ensure your safe return to the ground crew.

Once landed, celebrate with a traditional champagne toast and receive a flight certificate as a memento of your adventure. Afterward, you’ll be driven back to your hotel, carrying memories of an extraordinary experience in Cappadocia.
